Heart’s Home’s contribution to the International Human Rights system is grounded on its work for human dignity and its involvement in some Millennium Development Goals (“eradicate extreme poverty and hunger” and “achieve universal primary education”).

Therefore we are entitled to take part in all debates occurring in the Human Rights bodies and councils. We create connections therein between international issues and everyday concerns, by preparing our interventions with our volunteers’, friends’ and neighbours’ accounts of the situation on the field.

Listening to everybody’s views, and trying to make the most out of them, is of great importance for Heart’s Home. That is the reference we thrive to follow in each of our actions and statements at the UN.

Through our special consultative status we are entitled to attend the sessions of the Economic and Social Council, and all affiliated offices. We particularly value the work of the Human Rights Council and try to be present at all of its meetings.
